a girl I used to know

The story is too long. There is too much to tell. I haven't even mentioned the bridge, or the cupcakes, or the midnight airplane ride. I do not want to leave the important parts out: when they took me away, how we planned our escape - but there are so many things stuck in the cracks, and sometimes I think it's only the cracks that hold it all together - like sticky bits of reality cementing an impossibly twisted fairy tale. If not for the in-between parts, the story is nearly unbelievable. But I promised it happened - it really truly happened, to this little girl I used to know . . .
