What does normal mean anyway?
I had somebody tell me today that the Jester was "not a normal kid." It was prefaced with -"I'm not saying it's bad, I'm not saying it's good, but he is not a normal kid."
What the hell does that mean?
This person has not spent a lot of time with my son - maybe 5 days a year, and never in our home or even in our city.
I am sort of freaking out.
The Jester is a cool kid. His teachers love him, he's invited to tons of parties, he's smart, talented.
What does "normal" mean???????!

Normal is nothing to shoot for! Who wants a normal kid? I am not normal; my kid is definitely not normal. I'm proud to say it.... Your kids are awesome.
Yeah - now that I think of it - the jester would take it as a compliment.
Normal is boring and shallow. Of course he isn't normal. He's amazing. What the hell is wrong with people? I'd take this comment and run with it! He's incredible, brilliant, cute to death, smarter than most, etc. etc.....
normal means boring...uninteresting...
he is certainly neither of those things!
